Production Pattern Maker
Job Description
We’re looking to add production pattern makers to the team. We’re seeking motivated individuals who have a passion for dog clothing and value attention to detail. We’re interested in full-time applicants but are willing to consider part-time and freelance applicants as well.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Accountable for support in all aspects of product by developing patterns, grading, sewing, measuring and understanding construction.
Ability to evaluate specification according to the fabric, silhouette, and proportion to help determine the proper fit of garments.
Understand all aspects of technical design in order to succeed in the execution of high quality, well fitting apparel.
Ability to adhere to a production calendar and timeline.
Must have skills in, garment construction, pattern making and size grade rules.
Skills in sewing and draping.
Understanding of garment specifications is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment as well as changing priorities.
Experience
4+ years of experience in pattern making, garment construction, and 3+ years of industrial sewing.
Education
High school or equivalent, technical design, or a closely related degree preferred.
License
Drivers license
Work Environment*
The work environment for this job is a production studio, which is heated and air conditioned. The noise level is usually moderate due to sewing machines. This position requires frequent walking as well as sitting at a desk or sewing machine. Additionally, the position may require lifting and/or pulling of textiles.
Physical Demands*
The position requires that the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers such as with a sewing machine. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
